I have a strong track record of convening high-impact discussions and shaping global policy debates on some of today’s most urgent digital challenges—from cybersecurity and cyber norms to AI governance and the environmental footprint of the Internet.

In partnership with a group of leading academics, I was the first to introduce the topic of cybernorms at the UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF), helping bridge the gap between Internet governance and international security. Throughout my work, I have consistently championed policy approaches grounded in technical reality, cautioning against national securitisation narratives that risk fragmenting the Internet. My advocacy has focused on protecting the Internet’s foundational qualities—its openness, adaptability, and global scalability.

I have designed and moderated multistakeholder sessions across global and regional fora—including the IGF, APrIGF, WSIS Forum, TWIGF, and others—bringing together governments, engineers, industry leaders, parliamentarians, and civil society. These sessions have tackled critical topics such as the integrity of the Internet’s public core, the role of CERTs in cyber diplomacy, platform accountability, misinformation, and sustainable digital infrastructure.

In 2023, I was an invited speaker at the G20 Conference on Crime and Security in the Age of NFTs, AI, and the Metaverse, hosted by India’s Ministry of Home Affairs. That same year, I led the APrIGF Parliamentary Track on misinformation, facilitating dialogue between lawmakers and digital rights advocates. In 2024, I was invited to the Wuzhen Summit in China, where I spoke on AI governance and international norms, advocating for the protection of critical infrastructure and the promotion of cross-border cooperation.
